In early 2024, Project Studios launched a new membership program at our Neumann Leathers location. We have taken on an additional 2000 sq. ft. of space on the 3rd floor in the main section of the former leather factory that we have called home for almost 20 years. We call it the Pro Clay Studio. This was the first expansion of Project Studios in more than 5 years, and we are excited about this new offering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This new studio is a clay workspace designed to support potters and ceramic sculptors who want to take their artistic practice to the next level with greater creative autonomy than we can provide in our main shop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pro Clay Studio Features<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The studio can be accessed via a passenger elevator or stairs in the main building of Neumann, with access to three freight elevators, including one immediately outside the studio suite’s huge double doors. The space has central air-conditioning and heat, track lighting, and a 30 ft. wall of floor-to-ceiling windows with Southern exposure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new studio suite has several cubicle studios with an accompanying 500 sq. ft. shared workspace. Each cubicle is a personal studio for one member, with sizes between 80 and 100 sq. ft.. Each cubicle has partition walls with high capacity industrial teardrop shelving. Members may add a Brent C wheel to their studio package. Studio cubicles do not have doors. All utilities are included.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With an on-site drying area and kiln room with two dedicated kilns, this studio can better cater to the needs of artists making large pieces or production runs of functional ware. Members are responsible for their own firing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Memberships<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Members of the Pro Clay Studio also have access to the Photo Studio, Printmaking Lab, Clay Studio<\/a>, Spray Room, and Wood Shop, and regularly participate in our outdoor Raku events<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The base price for a Pro Clay membership is $450.00 per month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Project Studios is all about shared equipment, and this studio is no exception.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
