Well, it’s time once again for the annual MS Tour de Farms bike ride. This will be my seventh tour with six previous rides in Chicago and one in New York City. That is almost 800 miles, and I would do it all again in a heartbeat. I know that times are hard this year, but if I can get everyone to donate at least 10 dollars or more, I can reach my goal. Especially the way I talk… I have made some great friends riding on this mission and hope to meet many more this year. When so many people work together for a common goal it really brings a tear to my eye, for real! I would love to see a world free of MS so that no one has to watch their family and friends go through the pain and suffering that so many families have. Each day I know doctors and families work together to make sure that one day we can all ride together, and I hope to lead the pack.
I have accepted a challenge on behalf of the 20,000 individuals in Illinois who’s lives have been touched by multiple sclerosis. From Friday, June 12 through Sunday, June 14, 2009, I will be joining over 2,000 cyclists and hundreds of volunteers in the Bike MS: Tour de Farms. People living with MS overcome challenges every day: to walk, to have energy to go to the store, to have the will power not to give up. That is why it is so important to me that I support the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, and I need your help to turn my goal into a reality. MS stops people from moving, we exist to make sure it doesn’t. Please pledge your support today!
I hope that this year, when things turn around, we can all look back and be thankful that we still helped out when we could. Everyone please feel free to pass this along to anyone you know who also might want to help. The more we talk about it the more people will hear. I would like to thank you and look forward to a rain free ride this year. Keep your fingers crossed!
Please make a donation to my fundraising campaign right here by clicking on the Make a Gift link, just below the thermometer. If you prefer to write a check, please contact me and I will provide my address. If you want to ride with me that weekend, just let me know. I’d love to have you join me for an awe-inspiring adventure… and the party too!
Please visit my official MS Society Page where you can make a donation directly as a sponsor of my efforts. I will be training hard as I prepare, not because it’s a race, but because I care about it. It feels good to get off the bike and check my stats to find another donation.
